Good luck invading every country in the world which doesn’t support you. An invasion of Kazakhstan would probably go just as poorly as Ukraine, especially with their military resources stretched so thin. They are pretty much the geopolitical equivalent of a Chihuahua now.
The Russians are not having a major success in Ukraine but they have engaged around 10% of their troops. So talking about military resources is a bit of a stretch.
I do believe that Russians will take lessons from their debacle and be more ruthless towards Kazakhstan than it was with Ukraine (in which was already horrible).
