After an exhilarating start, the cab-hailing unicorn is scaling down Ola Dash dark stores and has put on hold its expansion plans. According to sources, the restructuring is in line with Ola’s plan to keep human resource costs under control. Poor customer feedback could also be a reason for it to press the pause button on instant delivery.
Within four months of its much-hyped launch, Ola is massively restructuring its quick-commerce business. According to three people with direct knowledge of the matter, the cab aggregator has in the past few weeks fired around 2,100 contract workers brought on board to man Ola Dash’s dark stores.
