Roundtable Meeting between the President and Members of the Student Representative Conference (Zendaikai)
On June 9, a “Roundtable Meeting between the President and Members of the Student Representative Conference of all Schools, Colleges, and the School of Comprehensive Studies (Zendaikai)” was held.
This roundtable meeting is held every year for the purpose of explaining to the President, Vice Presidents, and other members of the Student Representative Conference the activity policy formulated by the new chairpersons and other members, and to hold discussions with them, as new members of the conference become members every May.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19, the exchange party was canceled last year and the year before last, and only discussions were held on a reduced scale, with attendance limited to about one-third of the previous years’ level. This year, however, we took sufficient measures to prevent infection, and although we were unable to hold an exchange party, we were able to gather almost the same size of participants as before the COVID-19 pandemic and have discussions with them.
The meeting was moderated by Head of the Student Support Office Nobuhiro KAGA, and opened with a greeting by President NAGATA Kyosuke, followed by an explanation by an explanation of this year’s activity policies by Ms. KOHNO Miu, Student Representative Conference Chair (2nd-year student, College of Humanities and Culture) and the chairpersons of each committee of this year’s activities.
In addition, the Student Representative Conference, the President, Vice Presidents, and others presented topics such as the international student tutoring system, online classroom applications, and plans for the 50th Anniversary Year of Establishment of the University of Tsukuba.
